Mary Anibal Live at Zimkaffee: A Night That Moved the Street

What a night. On July 30, 2025, something truly special happened at Zimkaffee. Mary Anibal didn’t just perform — she created a moment that pulled people in from the street and brought together a crowd that filled our little corner of Zürich Bellevue with warmth and sound.

From the very first note of the mbira to Mary’s deeply soulful voice, the atmosphere was electric yet intimate. The connection between artist and audience was so strong that people walking by — from other bars, restaurants, and even just evening strollers — stopped in their tracks and joined us. Some leaned in the doorway, others stayed on the pavement outside, but all were clearly moved by the music echoing into the Zürich night.

It wasn’t just a concert. It felt like a shared memory being created in real time — one of those rare evenings where everything clicks: the sound, the vibe, the people. Our cozy café became a mini amphitheatre of joy, thanks to Mary’s presence and her incredible talent.

We were also proud to present the evening in collaboration with Many Hats Company Wehrli, whose creative spirit helped shape an event that felt both curated and spontaneous. The blend of African rhythm, mbira’s distinct voice, and Mary’s presence was unforgettable.
